Process Note on Two Poems
"Kate Draws Kate" was written while observing the painter Kate Ledogar doing sketches in a mirror for a self-portrait. It is an attempt to express the process verbally and also an observation of the self-contained subject/object relationship of an artist representing his or her self.
"Parched Dream" is a transcription of an actual dream.
